United Airlines and ANA have dropped the price of their flights from Montreal to Tokyo, Japan down to between $686 and $716 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in the U.S. or Vancouver.
You can also find flights from Montreal to Kobe, Japan for $604 CAD roundtrip.
Some important things to note:
- Japan is closed to international tourists. Nobody knows when they will re-open. At one point Japan was planning to 'test drive' allowing some international tourists to visit in the spring of 2021, but that seems unlikely to happen.
Opening back up in the fourth quarter of 2021 seems to be the most optimistic educated guess right now, but I don't think anyone would be shocked if it took Japan until early 2022. Vaccination progress has been very slow in Japan.
